Safeguarding Policy

We recognise that the nature of our work — placing staff into private households, often in roles involving the care of children, elderly individuals, or vulnerable adults — carries a particular responsibility. We take this responsibility seriously and apply rigorous safeguarding standards to every placement.

We are committed to ensuring that every candidate we place has been appropriately vetted and is suitable to work with children or vulnerable adults where the role requires it.

All candidates placed in roles involving the care of children or vulnerable adults are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before placement. We do not place candidates in such roles without a satisfactory DBS check.

We also conduct identity verification, right to work checks, and reference checks on all candidates. References are taken up personally and any concerns are investigated before a candidate is introduced to a client household.

We maintain records of all vetting checks conducted and the dates on which they were completed. We will provide copies of relevant vetting documentation to client households on request.

Where there is an immediate risk of harm, you should contact the emergency services (999) or the relevant local authority children's or adult social care team without delay.

All candidates on our register are expected to be familiar with and adhere to safeguarding best practice in their role. Candidates who have concerns about the welfare of a child or vulnerable adult in their care should report those concerns to the appropriate authority and notify us.

This policy is reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in legislation, guidance, and best practice. The current version of this policy is always available on our website.
